Field Note 05

Freedom doesn't come from doing more.
It comes from being supported well enough to become fully yourself.
In alignment, we use walls. Blocks. Blankets. Chairs.
Not because they're easier. Because they teach the body what true support feels like.
When the body is supported, unnecessary effort begins to disappear. Breath deepens. The nervous system softens. Movement becomes more intelligent.

Eventually, the support you've received from the outside becomes something you've cultivated within.
That is real freedom.
The ability to carry it with you wherever you go.
A Practice
Ask yourself today: Where am I working harder than I need to?
What would happen if you allowed just five percent more support? Sometimes that's where freedom begins.
